Weekend proprietors Mari Porcari and David Abel search the world over to present an ever changing mix of classic design and playful artistry.
Specializing in hard to find, one of a kind, unexpected offerings intended to surprise and delight their devoted clientele. Mari’s diverse creative and professional background incorporates decades of experience as an artist, set decorator for indie films in Hollywood and years of experience as a buyer of a Museum store and gallery.
After years of Weekend dreaming, Mari and husband David, both returned to their family roots on Cape Cod after living in Boston for many years.
They fell in love with the historic 1832 former general store in East Orleans on the way to Nauset Beach and decided to seize the perfect opportunity and buy this incredible space. They collaborated with friend, architect/designer and amazingly talented Humberto Cordero. The results are a marriage of modern design and traditional architecture. Blonde cork floors, suspended birch shelves, soothing lime green walls and one of the best dressing rooms on Cape Cod are all features you will find when shopping at Weekend.
Weekend is a fun yet intimate shopping experience with a world class sensibility. Please stop by and meet the warm and helpful staff and owners with their delightful 4 ½ year old daughter usually found riding her bike around the store.
