The stars must have been perfectly aligned last week for Weekend to receive three of my favorite lines. Layla, Lucky Fish and Kit + Lili all hail from Brooklyn. What is it about Brooklyn that seems to attract all the stylish, hip and talented designers!
Kit + Lili continue to create bold fun prints that turn the canvas tote into the must have bag for Summer fun. Outfit your little ones in the most adorable dresses from Kit + Lili.
My latest favorite designer Alayne Patrick, works with master craftsman in India to create her hand block-printed clothing line Layla. I love the simplicity and elegance of Layla, the former stylist has impeccable taste. Be sure to vist her jewel of a store located in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
We all seem to have endless amounts of t- shirts. But Jann the designer of the Lucky Fish t-shirts, really gets it right. Her images are African inspired and hand silk-screened in Brooklyn. I love them so much I think to date I have five of her wraps, I wear them everywhere.
Cheers! To all these lovely women in Brooklyn that continue to keep us all looking stylish. And the next time you are in New York City, please take a trip across the bridge to Brooklyn.
